Chaim Baskin is an Assistant Professor (Senior Lecturer) in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at  Ben-Gurion University of the Negev.

He is also a member of the Data Science Research Center and the Head of the INSIGHT Lab.
Prof. Baskin publishes regularly in top-tier venues, including NeurIPS, CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, ICLR, ICML, etc. He frequently serves as an Area Chair, Associate Editor, Program Committee Member, and Reviewer for leading conferences and journals in machine learning and artificial intelligence.

His research focuses on Foundation Models, multimodal learning, vision-language models (VLMs), adversarial robustness, and graph neural networks (GNNs). Prof. Baskin’s lab addresses key theoretical and practical challenges in robustness, adaptability, interpretability, and resource-efficient learning across diverse domains such as computer vision, NLP, autonomous vehicles, medical imaging, biology, and social networks. The INSIGHT Lab collaborates with leading research experts locally and globally, developing innovative, scalable, and efficient AI solutions applicable to real-world scenarios.
