Chaim Baskin holds a B.Sc. (2014) in Electrical Engineering from Braude College, an M.Sc. (2017) in Electrical and Computer Engineering, and a Ph.D. (2021) in Computer Science from the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology. Following his Ph.D., he conducted postdoctoral research at the Technion’s Center for Intelligent Systems during 2021–2022 and subsequently served as a Research Associate and Principal Investigator there from 2022 to 2024. Since 2024, he holds a tenure-track faculty position as an Assistant Professor (Senior Lecturer) in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, where he also serves as the Academic Head of Computing. He is the Head of the INSIGHT Lab and a member of the Data Science Research Center. Prof. Baskin is a Senior Member of the IEEE.
Chaim Baskin works in machine learning and computer vision, specializing in multimodal foundation models, graph neural networks (GNNs), resource-efficient learning, and adversarial robustness. His research is regularly published in top-tier venues such as NeurIPS, CVPR, and ICLR, and he frequently serves as an Area Chair and reviewer for leading AI conferences.
